Day 1 – Overhead Crane (Bridge Crane)

  • Introduction to types of overhead cranes

  • Introduction to inspection standards

  • Review of crane structure and components, including sheaves (pulleys)

  • Hook inspection principles

  • Wire rope inspection principles

  • Drum and winch inspection principles

  • Overhead crane inspection procedure

  • Static and dynamic load testing methods

Day 2 – Mobile Crane

  • Introduction to types of mobile cranes

  • Introduction to inspection standards

  • Review of crane structure and components

  • Mobile crane inspection procedure

  • Static and dynamic load testing methods

Day 3 – Tower Crane

  • Introduction to types of tower cranes

  • Introduction to inspection standards

  • Review of crane structure and components

  • Tower crane inspection procedure

  • Static and dynamic load testing methods

Day 4 – Forklift

  • Introduction to types of forklifts

  • Familiarization with the load chart and lifting-capacity concepts at different lift heights

  • Introduction to forklift inspection standards

  • Review of forklift structure and components

  • Familiarization with common types of forks/attachments used for material handling

  • Familiarization with inspection of critical forklift components (cylinder, hydraulic system, brakes, forks, etc.)

  • Review of the load chart and lifting-capacity concepts at different lift heights

  • Static and dynamic load testing methods for forklifts

  • Forklift inspection procedure
